Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Licences: AZ class license, DZ class license
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan or adjust routes using GPS and navigation tools to lower emissions
- Coach team on updated techniques
- Demonstrate professionalism in customer service
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks
- Inspect vehicle and perform brake adjustments
- Execute pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Conduct preventive maintenance
- Communicate with central dispatch
- Record service logs, cargo details, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Secure cargo with tarps for safety
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Wet/damp, noisy, odours, hot, cold/refrigerated
- Travel: Various locations
- Manual transmission driving
- Vehicle provided by employer
- Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Hand-eye coordination
