Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Licences: AZ class license, DZ class license

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan or adjust routes using GPS and navigation tools to lower emissions
  • Coach team on updated techniques
  • Demonstrate professionalism in customer service
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks
  • Inspect vehicle and perform brake adjustments
  • Execute pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Conduct preventive maintenance
  • Communicate with central dispatch
  • Record service logs, cargo details, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Secure cargo with tarps for safety

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Wet/damp, noisy, odours, hot, cold/refrigerated
  • Travel: Various locations
  • Manual transmission driving
  • Vehicle provided by employer
  • Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Weight handling over 45 kg
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
