Qualifications Required:
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma (1 to 2 years) or equivalent experience
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test cable signals and equipment
- Diagnose and repair telecommunications equipment
- Install and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and hardware
- Test systems to locate faults
- Analyze test results and adjust systems
- Maintain service reports
- Instruct apprentices
- Operate computerized testing systems
- Assign work tasks
- Install cable modems and software
- Repair or replace cables, power supplies, and amplifiers
Working Conditions:
- Work must be completed at the physical location
- No remote work option
