Job description

The Sheet Metal Worker will produce, construct, and install different types of steel  frameworks and  devices for maintenance and installment programs.

Duties/Responsibilities

Cuts,flexes, and  forms sheet metal to  needed  measurements.

Seeks advice from plans, job orders, and/or schematics to securely build specified   framework extra illustrations if required.

Chooses ideal material for every task based on or required    strength.

Measures, cuts, and welds pieces  assemble according to requirements, plans, or instructions.

Connect items or protect  joints by riveting, rolling, soldering, or making use of steel screws.

 Executes designated work on the production line such as punching openings for screws or flexing gutters.

Makes use of ideal machinery and software applications to finish designated  work.

Works with required shutdowns and startups of devices with other divisions after sheet metal installment.

Establishes and keeps records  for jobs and  repair services.

Executes other associated responsibilities as designated.

Preserves a clean and  organized work area.

Skills/Abilities

Capacity to finish sheet metal  jobs with precision and accuracy.

Capacity to securely make use of equipment and  tools associated with sheet metal work. 

Capacity to follow  instructions.

Capacity to read  plans and schematics to recognize product assignment

EDUCATION, LEARNING AND EXPERIENCE

High school  diploma or  equivalent needed.

Successful conclusion of an apprenticeship or a three-year, in-company training program needed.

Accreditation preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extended periods lifting, reaching, and  working with scaffolding and overhead  frameworks.

Should have the ability to lift up|  to 25  pounds sometimes.
