Key Responsibilities
As an Economist, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting research to develop models that analyze and explain economic behavior and patterns.
- Forecasting production, consumption, income, expenditure, interest rates, and exchange rates.
- Analyzing factors that determine labor market outcomes and studying the nature of money and credit.
- Assessing the appropriateness of current monetary and fiscal policies.
- Developing monetary policies and forecasts of financial activity.
- Examining statistical data on the exchange of goods and services among nations.
- Preparing research papers, educational texts, or articles and delivering presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia.
Qualifications
- Education: Earned doctorate degree in Economics or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in economic research is an asset but not required.
Skills Required
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in econometrics.
- Excellent written communication skills for preparing reports and presentations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
